The short version: be decent to other people, do your own work, and understand that we are a student club run by volunteers, not a university department and not a company.
What this covers
These terms apply to this website and to taking part in Tech & Skills Council events, sessions and online spaces. By registering for an event, applying for a council seat, or signing in with Google, you are agreeing to them.
Who can take part
The club is currently open to students on an active university pathway programme at Anurag University, Chitkara University, Rajalakshmi Engineering College or Shiv Nadar University. Some events are restricted further, and where that is the case the registration page says so before you sign up.
Registering is not a guarantee of a place. If an event fills up or your eligibility cannot be confirmed, we will tell you by email.
Your account and your details
When you sign in with Google, you are telling us that the account is yours. Do not register on somebody else's behalf or with an address you do not control, the joining link goes to that address, and a wrong one means the real person misses the session.
Give us accurate information. If something changes, email us and we will correct it.
How to behave
The club's code of conduct applies everywhere we operate, sessions, calls, chats and repositories. In short:
- Critique the work, never the person.
- Harassment, discrimination and exclusionary behaviour are not tolerated.
- Submitted work must be your own, with collaboration and outside sources credited honestly.
- The club is for learning and career development. It does not endorse any political party, government or ideology, and does not organise advocacy campaigns.
We can remove anyone from an event or from the club for breaking this, and we will do so without a long argument about it. Concerns go in writing to the council and are handled confidentially.
Using the site
Do not attempt to break, overload or probe this website, our forms, or the systems behind them. Do not submit automated or fake registrations. Do not attempt to access data belonging to other people.
Your work
Anything you build in club sessions or projects stays yours. We may showcase it, in a demo, a recap post or a portfolio page, with credit to you, and we will stop if you ask us to.
Our materials
Club names, logos, posters and written materials belong to the council. You are welcome to share them to tell people about the club. Please do not present them as your own or use them to imply the council endorses something it does not.
What we do not promise
We are volunteers. Sessions can move or be cancelled, speakers can drop out, and the site can go down. We will tell you as early as we can when that happens.
Taking part in the club is not a qualification, does not confer academic credit, and has no bearing on your admission, transfer or standing at any partner institution or at your own university. Anything said in a session, including by a guest speaker, is that person's own view and is not official guidance from any university.
Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by agreement.
Your data
How we handle your information is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Ending it
You can leave at any time, email us and we will remove you and, if you want, delete your record. We may remove someone whose conduct breaks these terms.
Changes
We will update this page if these terms change, and change the date below. Continuing to take part after a change means you accept the updated version.
